About Camelot Meadows

This venue is dedicated to Dr. Mark Baxa who tragically died of brain cancer at an early age. Mark spent many years working on this property which he loved, making it into these beautiful pastures along with the magical bamboo forest. The first time Deborah, Mark's wife, saw the property with her husband, it was evening in the summertime. They walked up through the bamboo forest to the pasture (where the barn is now). The horses came over to them and she looked at her husband, "this place is magical".

When people first see the bamboo forest, they are amazed at how much bamboo there is. We have the bamboo trail lit up in the evenings and it is absolutely beautiful and surreal. Deborah often get asked about the bamboo forest and how long it has been on the property, and from the research she has done, it was first on the property in the late 1800’s. Bamboo grows quickly; so each year we “harvest” and donate our bamboo shoots for food. Bamboo shoots are edible and high in nutrition!

This land is meant to be shared and appreciated by others. Deborah has built this venue to forever be a part of Mark's legacy. "Camelot Meadows is much more than just a business for me. It has a deeper meaning since I have built this in memory of my late husband. I am honored and proud to host events here for the many special people I have met. It is personal for me, and I hope my couples feel my passion to make their event perfect."
